1. Enrollment & Registration
Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of a completed registration form and applicable tuition payment. Spaces in group piano classes are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. - Tuition is non-refundable once a session has begun, except in cases of documented medical emergencies.
- Accepted payment methods: Zelle, credit/debit card, CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, check, cash.
3. Attendance & Absences
Group Classes: Regular attendance is essential to the learning experience of all students. Missed group classes are not eligible for make-up sessions or refunds. If a student misses more than three consecutive classes without notice, their spot may be released to a student on the waitlist.
Private Lessons: Students must notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule a lesson. One make-up lesson per month will be offered for absences with sufficient advance notice. Same-day cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full lesson fee.
4. Instructor Cancellations
In the event that an instructor must cancel a class or lesson, students will be notified as soon as possible. A make-up session will be scheduled at no additional charge, or a prorated credit will be applied to the following month’s tuition.
5. Student Conduct
All students are expected to treat instructors, fellow students, and academy property with respect. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in dismissal from the class or program without a refund. Students are responsible for any damage they cause to academy instruments or equipment.
6. Practice Requirements
Consistent home practice is a fundamental part of music education. Students should practice according to their instructor’s guidance. Progress is directly tied to the effort invested outside of class.
7. Materials & Supplies
Students are responsible for obtaining required books, sheet music, and any other materials specified by their instructor. A materials list will be provided at the time of enrollment.
8. Recitals & Performances
Virtuoso Music Academy holds periodic student recitals throughout the year. Participation is encouraged for all students as it builds confidence and performance experience. Specific recital dates, requirements, and any associated fees will be communicated well in advance.
9. Withdrawal & Discontinuation
Students wishing to withdraw from classes or lessons must provide written notice at least two weeks before the next billing cycle. Tuition already paid for the current session is non-refundable. Withdrawal mid-session does not entitle the student to a prorated refund unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Photography & Media
Virtuoso Music Academy may photograph or video record classes, recitals, and events for promotional and educational purposes. By enrolling, you grant permission for the use of such media on the academy’s website and social media channels. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or recorded, please notify us in writing at the time of enrollment.
11. Health & Safety
Students who are ill are asked to stay home to protect the health of other students and instructors. If a student arrives visibly unwell, the academy reserves the right to ask them to leave. Please notify the academy promptly if your child is diagnosed with a contagious illness.
12. Contact & Questions
If you have any questions about these policies, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to clarify any of the above before or after enrollment.
